3rd trimester!

I can't believe I'm at the 3rd trimester already.

I took the day off Friday to take the 3-hour glucose test. It wasn't all that fun, but it wasn't horrible. I arrived around 7:45am, had my blood drawn, and managed to get down the ridiculously sweet 100g glucose drink. It was really gross. The first hour I felt kinda sick to my stomach. And some kid puked in the garbage can in the waiting room, so that didn't help. Had blood draws at 9am, 10am and 11am. Jon joined me for the last hour and then we went to Boston Market for lunch and then I came home.

I popped on the computer, but was feeling really wiped out. I napped for a bit, which felt great.

I met a doula named Nancy on Thursday. She was ok -- kinda what I expected. A bit too low energy for me. The one I like, Margaret, just called me and we're going to meet Wednesday.

In general, I just started getting a tiny bit uncomfortable. Sitting too long is uncomfortable, and so is walking too long. My lower back gets achy more often. Sleeping is sometimes hard, because flipping over is difficult. Heartburn comes and goes. Thankfully the last few days have been heartburn-free.

I was getting a little nervous because the baby was on the quiet side for a few days, but yesterday and today she's been fairly active. I'm also trying to be more aware of my posture so that she has an easier time getting into a good position, i.e. head down, anterior facing, and on my left side. Yesterday and today I've been feeling kicks mainly at the top of my belly, towards the right, so I think she might've turned head down. I'm bonding with her more... and I can't wait to meet her! Just three more months left.
