I forgot to put this in, but at her 9 month pediatrician appointment she weighed 19 pounds (50th percentile) and was 28.5 inches (75th percentile). She's been very healthy so far, with just a few sniffles here and there, but no full blown colds or other illnesses.
Last week she started to wave and point. She now points at everything.

Here she is just being a weirdo:
She gets around in the living room pretty well by herself.

Pointing again...

On this day she managed to get herself all the way over daddy's DVD cabinet, where she happily played by herself for quite some time.

Her hair is getting a little out of control!

Playing with mom:
She's been trying to crawl so hard for weeks now!! She's been going backwards though (which does not please her in the least).

Here she is getting mad that she can't crawl forward yet.. and pointing and talking:
And then I grabbed the camera to get her pointing and look what she decided to do!
She's only gotten better at it since then!
And thanks to Aunt Molly for making Maya this precious necklace and bracelet set with her name on it. We think she looks really adorable in the necklace.

Maya seems to think the bracelet is a toy, though, so we'll put it away until she's a little older.

Don't let her fool you; she loves peaches. She just usually eats them in slices, so she wasn't sure what to do with a whole one.
And last but not least, our new favorite video of Maya. She isn't supposed to touch the electronic equipment under the TV, so she thinks it's hysterical to try and get caught. She invented this little game herself and totally cracks herself up.
