In other news, here is what Maya is doing now:
- grabbing everything she can and putting it into her mouth
- rolling from back to side
- sitting with some support
- sitting alone in a high chair
- babbling "mamamamamama" and smiling when mom says "say MA-MA"
- banging her toys
- going down for naps and bed at night very quickly by being rocked in the glider for a few minutes
- getting ready to not be swaddled for sleep - she does well now with one arm out
- she loves funny noises, especially animal noises like meowing, barking, peeping like a chick, etc.
- she still loves being carried around in a carrier - we use the Ergo most
- she loves animals - she wants to pet Stanley so bad, but he's not a fan of how she "pets" him
- she still loves to have books read to her and will pay attention for 4 or 5 books at bedtime
- she still takes relatively short naps, sometimes 30-45 minutes long, but she usually has at least one nap of at least an hour. She can handle about 2 hours of being awake before needing a nap.
